The producers seem to have NO idea that now that they know it isn't dangerous, they could market it as very special and unusual and it could command a higher price.
maybe one day the bees will become black and blue aswell
This year my bees actually made some Dark Honey and when I stuck it up for sale I'd sold all of if it in less than a few hours. One customer even buying 5 jars which I then had to limit so to give other people a chance.
All in all this years crop for me was terrible. I would say I was at least 200 jars down because of the weather + I have hive with no queen at the moment so I will have to unite that with another and take that as a loss as my attempts to re-queen failed to work.
This year Bee Keepers have really suffered.
