to buy or not to buy

so I'm currently a uni student in my second year (used to be a 'real' edugeeker) and thinking about buying the asus eee transformer prime to help me with my lecture note taking. I'm a maths student and know (from another student) that super note that comes with it will be ideal for my note taking needs. Anyone know where the best place to buy one from is and if they come in blue (i've not found a prime in blue yet). Also does anyone have a prime who is willing to comment on the wifi as i've herd and read that the metal body affects it alot.

Or should i buy http://uk.asus.com/Tablet/Transforme...er_Pad_TF300T/ over a prime?

    cheers
    Matt

From what I can see, there is no blue.

    Just grey/purple and silver/gold.

if youre thinking about using the touch screen for typing notes dont its a pain to write much more than a short e-mail and for what they cost you may as well get a small laptop and be less software limited imo (and this from someone who has a transformer tf101)

For internet price comparisons I generally use skinflint.co.uk and/or google.co.uk/shopping.

I quite like the fact that skinflint has EU prices too.

I think the Prime is in silver only - I've just bought the TF300 - which is the same spec as the Prime but has either a blue/red/white case and costs 100 less - its very lovely

Spent a lot of time looking round but the price was the same everywhere - so just picked one up in the local Currys. Beware though - a few online dealers are selling just the tablet bit without the keyboard at a reduced rate - but I guess you will need the kb for note taking - I coughed another 13 quid for the fancy cover that splits in two - Black Leather Keyboard Pouch Folio Stand Case Cover for ASUS Transformer TF300 | eBay
