    The one eyed hedgehog

Only I, Little-Miss, would not only own a Hedgehog but own a hedgehog who somehow manages to destroy his own eye.

He went in for an op today to have it removed. So now sat twiddling me thumbs waiting for 4:30 when i can go get him.

    Silly sod...

We have a young hedgehog living in our back garden. He keeps falling in the pond so I've had to cover it with mesh. The pond, not the hedgehog.

Oh @Domino, you do make me laugh!! Printed off and stuck on the wall behind me.

Yep i own a one eyed Hedgehog called Dexter.

Unfortunately it seems it was little worse then just hurting his eye. He had a massive abcsess in his mouth with basically pushed at his eye. Had to send off for Histology test to make sure its not cancerous.

Poor little blighter. He does look sorry for himself. Yesterday he seemed a bit brighter though, helped himself to food and water instead of me shoving it down his gob!

They do make fun pets..I had a rescued one for a while that was quite a talking point. Still lives at parents house, still see him down the bottom of the garden where the hedgehog box is.

I have a habit of stopping when I see one crossing the road, and moving it on (much to the annoyance of others). Must crack on next year with making a wildlife corner in the garden and have another hedgehog box..

A bit of a depressing update but i know a few of you are Dexter fans.

Unfortunately the abscess has turned out to be cancerous. So its palliative care from now on. Could be weeks, could be months...I'm hoping he'll go in his sleep, don't fancy a one way Vet visit.
