i bought it over the weekend and it plays awesome! great cut scenes, slightly geeky story but hopefully this time they can finally top MGS1!!
also cant wait to try it out online, too busy with the story atm though :)

I purchase a copy about 2 weeks ago, I admit the graphics are great, but thats about where it ends for me (personally I dont like the sneaky around gameplay) and to much involvement in the menus for my liking.
A week later I swapped it for Racedriver:GRID, for me much better.
This is just my opinion, I can see if you like that type of gameplay how good it is.

I think it has a nice mix, because you can go kinda gungho too but also do the stealthy thing, whereas games like splinter cell take stealth a bit far for me.
cant wait to try out the online stuff!
I played 16 hours in a total of 25. Not bad going.
I really enjoyed it, mostly tied up the loose ends too though. I do think it's a bit difficult to follow 3 though, which had a great story.
I prepared beforehand by playing 1,2,3 during a week off :D

I must of nearly finished it now, not been playing it so much the past few days but was on it on saturday from 2pm - 7am sunday morning :P

the only downside for me is that i quit smoking 2 weeks ago, seeing a cool mother <edited for language!> like solid snake smoking every 5 minutes is tough ;)
3 wasnt too hard to follow as it open your eyes to what built up to metal gear being created and what turned "big boss" against his superiors...completed MGS4 other night and tell you what bloody emotional climax to the end of a fantastic series of games.....time for the online play now me thinks :hat:Quote:

I had a go on my mates PS3 last night.
It's ok but the cut scenes just go on for ever!
Not a game that can be played for 10 mins a time.
The best PS3 game so far and IMHO one of the best games of all time...
MGO is also excellent and something different from the usual one dimensional FPS shoot everything that moves game. Brilliant playing as Snake with the chaos of TDM going on around you, especailly when the enemy comes straight from COD4 style of play!
Just found the time to finish it, gets quite emotional at the end! :(
looking forward to MGO now, but i think i need some PES online first to cheer me up lol.
10/10.
