We've got a new base now in the usual spot with some gear so can fast track you there with a chopper ride?
Looking forward to this coming out! I'd play DayZ again but the bugs kept annoying me and I was all alone :(
@DMcGuigan - Pack should be easy to find. Get geared up then we can do a 5 man strategic sweep of Calamar and the surrounding area. We have enough fire power. ;)
Or we can do 4 man with air support overhead. :)
Either way, should be enough to make people think twice about attacking us or hanging around the area for too long. :D
I hate all of you. I really want to start playing DayZ but don't have a laptop or PC with enough beef to run it well. I really don't have the funds to buy or build one either being on a apprentice wage! :( Booooooooooooo
I was ripped off when I brought this, however I purchased this before I had any real IT Knowledge, but hay.

Plus my Internet Connection is poor and probably wouldn't help in terms of playing DayZ but hopefully that will change soon.
Plus it had 3GB RAM when I brought it not 4GB.
I have a duel core AMD too and DayZ is very much playable for me.
Without spending cash on the full copy of AMRA2 (in case your machine cant quite run it), why not download the Free to Play version of ARMA2?
Arma 2 free - Arma 2 Official Website
It will let you see if ARMA2 is playable without you having to spend a penny. If it's not, no cash wasted. If it is, you can get full ARMA2:CO and join the DayZ fun. :)Quote:
Arma 2: Free (A2F) redefines the free-to-play battlefield with its truly unrivalled scale and gameplay possibilities. A2F serves up almost everything offered by the original Arma 2 - the '13th best PC game of all time', according to PC Gamer - minus the campaign, HD graphics and support for user-made addons and mods.
I was on a similar wage when I got mine, takes a while to save enough, but it really is worth it!
Still running everything at Ultra.. could probably build my spec for around 700ish peripherals not included. Monitor was the priciest thing on the list for me.
AMD Phenom XII 955 Black Edition @3.2GHz (stock)
Asus M4A87TD EVO Motherboard
2 x 1GB ATI RADEON HD 6870 GFX Cards

Asus Sonicmaster MX279H
Could also try Can You Run It, see what it says.
The hardware I run it on:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 @ 2.6GHz
ASUS M2N4-SLI ACPI
Nvidia GeForce GTX 280
4GB DDR3 RAM
300Gb SATA HDD @ 10,000RPM
Well fingers crossed I'll get a fully paid "ICT Technician" Role soon as my apprenticeship ends in less than a month! Eeek! Hopefully when my employers offer me a decent wage and keep me on I'll be able to save for a while and get a decent setup.
@DMcGuigan your setup sounds pretty darn sweet. Is there any major difference between AMD Black Editions and an i7 for example? I mean major performance differences? Or is it more a personal preference? I'm new to the PC Gaming scene if I'm honest. I've been a PS3 man for a while. But considering selling it or switching to PC.
Plus that is a big list of people you can download Arma II Free from. Any suggestions for which one to go with without getting hit with a nasty?
