Well... psuedo HD.
I'm currently playing Skyward Sword, but it's looking a bit blurry. I considered splitting the SCART down to the component connection, but I've heard the Wii can do 480p if you have the HD cable.
Can it actually do that?
and if so, would I be better off getting the "official" cable [read : Overpriced] or a 3-rd party cable [read : Cheap]?

23rd May 2012, 11:12 AM #2 just run it via Component at 480p looks nicer, the signal is all digital that way. much more crisp image

23rd May 2012, 11:13 AM #3 I do love that game! Can't imagine their's much difference between a 3rd party component cable and a proper nintendo one, but i did buy the Nintendo one. I only plugged in the cable that came with it once when i first had the wii, it did make a difference going over to the component cable. You do have to change a setting if i remember (it was a long time ago)
How far through are you?

Hmm... now, do I spend ~£17 on the "proper" one or ~£2.50 on 3rd party.

Lanayru Mining Facility... Well, just outside.
I've been spending a bit of time upgrading stuff.
Also, there's a couple of blue feathers in out corridor here... I keep thinking "Oh, I need so me of those for upgrades..."

You only need 5 blue feathers for all the upgrades. [if you make 1 of each... 1 bag/1 wooden shield/etc] I currently have ~40...
I'm not even joking... They're supposed to be rare, but I KEEP FINDING THEM!!!
also, "Wii-mote waggle" still works... and it's surprisingly deadly.
Stagger something
go crazy with the wii-mote
???
RUPEES!
Le EDIT: Component isn't digital... from what I was reading HDMI is digital, Component is analog.

23rd May 2012, 11:31 AM #7 The component cable makes a hell of a difference. It's impossible to read the lyrics on Guitar Hero over SCART because they're so blurry, but component sorts that right out.
Think my cable was just the GAME one, so if that works, anything should. A coathanger would probably do the job at that point.
Just finished AssBro last night, reckon Skyward Sword might be next on my list... never waited this long to play a Zelda game since Ocarina. I turned down £400 for my new Wii on launch day from the bloke in the shop cos I wanted to go home and play Twilight Princess.

You're a true fan.
Be warned, in Skyward there's a house where, if you smash pots, you get fined by the owner. [Everyone else doesn't really care.]
You also get told off for it in the kitchen. [and you get told off by the in-game-4th-wall-breaking text for opening other people's wardrobes.]

That happens in Wind Waker too, on Windfall Island in the auction room house!
Personally I thought Skyward Sword looked bl00dy awful, even when compared to Twlight Princess and Wind Waker!

Get out.

I like Skyward. Perfect blend of WW's comic style and TP's gritty realism.
Then again, I like OoT's graphics...

What! What madness is this?! They've completely undermined the story doing that.
The story of brave Link, Hyrule's Gardener & Scrapman, cutting everyone's grass for rupees and helping them clear out their houses of old giant pots that are too heavy for the residents to move.
This is worse than making him right handed.

It seems you misunderstand the reasons for me asking where you work...
