Was playing L4D2 last night and it was sat on the main menu. The background menu vid was from dark carnival, and I happened to notice something really wierd yet cool.
If you watch the video loop and keep your eye closely on the left had side of the screen by the ticket booth, on the right hand edge for about half a second or so a head pops round the side with extremely bright glowing orange eyes!

Also, a lot of servers have a MOTD which consists of a poster of 'The Midnight Riders - Coming soon...' with a pic of the four band members! More DLC on the way I wonder?

16th May 2012, 01:10 PM #2 Looks like a normal infected to me with a peeking animation and cat's eye effect to make it spookier.

You sure? I've played L4D2 many a time and cant recall seeing any glow in the dark eyes in dark/pitch black areas of the map... :S

16th May 2012, 01:32 PM #5 Depends on your graphics settings I think. I remember seeing the cat's eye effect before in-game.

16th May 2012, 01:36 PM #6 Indeed they do. It's hard to spot because they generally move so quick, but it's more noticeable during their animation where they detect you from a distance and turn slowly, staring at you for a few seconds. You can spot little glowing eyes in the distance of dark places, they have to be looking at you.
The screenshot you've posted is actually subject of debate as to whether it's a secret infected, as while common infecteds' eyes do glow, they're no-where near as much as that.
@CAM may be right about graphics, though. The infected of both games have glowing eyes, definitely.

16th May 2012, 01:38 PM #7 yeap, infected have cats eyes, normally only in very dark and you have to have flashlight on!

16th May 2012, 01:49 PM #8 Guess I've been so 'gun ho' in game, I've never really noticed! If I'm not spraying & preying, I'm usually dead!
Hope a L4D3 is in the pipeline...
