Nevermind I got it![]()

Why won't my trains auto-replace or auto-renew?! Very annoying having to manually do it.
No idea, need to take server offline for a bit shortly.

I need to expand on my knowledge of different types of station etc... Some of you guys really know how to generate income! My stations take ages to build each time.
Had an issue when I tried upgrading the OS, basically fooked it up. I've hopefully now got the DC to upgrade the BIOS so it can be redirected over serial so I should in future be able to change the boot priority so I can boot from pxe to recover. Should be back up again later tonight if all goes well.
PS: Don't forgot to update your OpenTTD to 1.2.0 too![]()
SERVERS BACK UP - NEW IP - 93.93.129.172
DNS name is the same - openttd.matt40k.co.uk
Remember it's running 1.2.0 - which you can download for free from OpenTTD

Just tried to get back in to the server and noticed its on 1.2.0. Any chance of an update to 1.2.1?![]()
Can try, I won't be renewing it beyond this month by the way.

Nice, save me a job or two![]()

Hardware? 500MHz Geode x86, 256MB ram.

Well, I have finally got my dedicated box sorted so thought I'd slap an OpenTTD server on it.
Its up at dedi.localzuk.com password eg2013
I've created a 2048x2048 map to start, as the server is blazingly fast so not seeing any download issues etc... (Even on my terrible download speeds at home).
I've limited to 10 aircraft and it currently isn't set to restart or anything similar.
I have enabled the 'pause unless 1 player on' function too, so that it actually requires someone to be on for things to progress.
Its running on an i7 980x with 2x SSDs in RAID 1 with a 1Gbps net connection, so should be pretty snappy!
Also, as much use as it may be to people, its also IPv6 compatible.

Cool, will have a look at this later. I remember spending hours on TTD when it first came out!
I'd recommend lowering the frequency of the autosave, as it seems to lock things up for a few seconds, and having that happen every minute or so gets a little irritating.
