Morning all,
I'm getting a PS3 for xmas and so far know that I've definately got BF3 and Unchartered 3 with it :-D
I'm currently looking at headsets for communication with others. I've found the Gioteck Ex-01 for a tenner and it seems to be highly rated. Does anyone have this headset and if so how would they rate it, what are the pros and cons?
On another note, What's the best arcade racing game for the ps3 currently, I've seen Burnout - Paradise city which looks pretty good.
I can't wait to get into BF3 - it sounds epic!!!
Cheers
Dan

5th December 2011, 09:41 AM #2 I've got a cheap £4 phone bluetooth headset - works perfectly fine for me, although I does confuse the other half when I'm teamed up with a friend and chatting to them while playing (if they're to only other person on the channel), or if I call enemy movements to my team.
Hmmm, racing game. I'm a bit of a fan of Racedriver: Grid - you should be able to pick it up for £8-10 preowned. You actually manage a small racing team, starting at the bottom and working up to the top (you do drive yourself as well).

5th December 2011, 09:48 AM #3 Racing game...GT5 (Gran Turismo 5),has to be.
Headset...apparently the Plantronics Voyager Pro sets are good. I use a cheaper version and it's excellent...if only I could remember where I put it, would make playing MAG
better.

5th December 2011, 12:09 PM #5 Thanks for advice so far,
Another question I forgot to add.
Is there a reccomended controller for playing PS3 BF3 or is the normal PS3 controller the way to go?
Cheers
-
5th December 2011, 12:17 PM #6 I don't know much about alternate controllers but that may explain my poor but improving K/D ratio on MAG.

5th December 2011, 01:21 PM #7 While I haven't bought BF3 yet (still on BF:BC2), the standard PS3 controller works perfectly fine unless they've done something weird with the control set...
-
5th December 2011, 01:29 PM #8 Fiddling with the control set...you mean when you get that one of your mates that always inverts their Y-axis? That really narks me off. Especially if it's winner stays on and you get their controller afterwards.
-
5th December 2011, 01:57 PM #9 I always invert the Y-axis - otherwise it feels strange. Everyone I know inverts it too, so maybe it's just you that doesn't invert it @DAZZD88

5th December 2011, 01:59 PM #10 OMG you're one of those people?? Burn!! Burn!!
I bet you also swap circle and square when playing Pro Evo because you're used to Fifa's controls, yes?
-
6th December 2011, 12:20 PM #11 OK that's cool that the normal controller will be fine :-D
Next question:
What are your thoughts on:
Red Dead Redemption - Game of Year Edition
or
LA noire - The complete Edition
Obviously I'll be getting GTA4 Complete edition :-D
Thanks
-
6th December 2011, 12:28 PM #12 Red Dead is better than LA Snore, that game could have been so good if it was propper sandbox game and not as liniar as it was.

I use this but bear in mind that it picks up a lot of background noise including the TV so not ideal for this purpose. I have an old SOCOM usb headset that I got for ps2 that works but it isn't wireless so I can't sit in my usual seat when I wear it.
