    Football manager 2012 steam error

Hi firstly i wanted to say i am a complete and utter pc novice, im on an acer aspire one netbook 250gb (thats all i know!)
I downloaded fm2012 via a torrent, installed steam added it to the library job done...
I click play and it says "error essential data is missing" im not running steam in compatibility mode, could it be the fact that it is a torrent or even just that my device dosent have a cd drive? Also my :c drive is full (another problem i have but thats for another thread!) so ive saved it to my :d drive but i dont see any problem there (but what do i no!)

    any help atall is appreciated!
    cheers dave

Probably because it is a Torrent. Download it off of Steam.

The paid for version should work nicely. Though not on a netbook, that thing would seriously struggle.
