I hope that the PC version will use all of my 3 screens without causing my R9 290x to cry.

Indeed! I remember having hours and hours of fun with Burnout Paradise. As for Need for Speed, I don't think there has been a decent NFS game since the original Most Wanted. That was the last one that I really enjoyed. Compelling storyline and excellent game mechanics. It made you want to play the game over and over. I hate how the new NFS games don't have much of a story and are sooooo focused on forcing you to dwell in to online gaming in order to get any where further in the game.

Aside from NFS, I did quite enjoy GRID 2, but found it far too short!

I couldn't get into GRID, always found it was just a case of "Hold down W and steer and get to the finish line" - no real skill needed DiRT 2 on the other hand, that was fun agree with everybody else here though that NFS has gone downhill badly, my favourite of the series though if I had to pick one would be Underground 2; mainly because of all the fancy customisations you could make to the cars oh and "Riders On The Storm" with Snoop Dogg, best track in the game I think

Ah, then you were doing GRID wrong! It was actually "Hold down S/LT/L2 and slam into everyone"

Nobody raced on that game, it was just for killing other players :P

+1 for NFSU2, i liked the fact you had to upgrade your cars looks to prgress, whereas in their next one, Carbon, it made no difference, so i just kept stock car design etc, and just upgraded the internals, which for me killed it.

...And finally we get a release date for the PeeCee - 27 January 2015 (and XB1 + PS4).

GTA 5 PS4 and Xbox One release date is November 18, January 27 for PC | News | TechRadar

    ...and I'm struggling to care.

They should have done this sooner or not at all.

Been waiting, never gave up. I recon that I'd be able to play GTA3, VC, SA and GTA4 though again in that time tho.

GTA 3, VC and SA no problem - but it'll probably take the remaining time just to get GTA 4 to play properly/optimised!

Actually IV does play alright now, but on contemporary hardware it was awful. Very smooth on my old 6870 though.
