About LinkBacksWhich maps do you find samey? I have yet to find samey type maps...Only thing samey is Noshahr Canal and Kharg Island where the US spawn on the boat...but thats it.

Maybe not the right word, just find some of the maps abit boring other than caspian border
though I still love BF3!
dont forget different game modes use the maps in different ways
The server renewal is coming up and really it's not being used so will shut it down.
Maybe we can attempt this in the future if we get a bit more organisation which I just don't have the time to do!
The problem was the minimum players to start setting. It's not fun sitting in a plane waiting instead of getting some flight/plinking practice in.
It's an issue that's been fixed with the latest server patches I believe.
When it started we had to force the server to start with two manually via RCON.
I'm more than happy to keep it running but I'm not paying for it solo.
That explains why I can't find it in the server list when I search for Edugeek. Shame really, would have been fun to have a bash with fellow geekers!

It depends if we try to keep it to a 64 man or go for a more conservative 32 man.
The 64 slot was costing me £50 per month to keep running and a 32 man would cost £25.
Unfortunately, my PC can't handle 64 man maps that well so I stick to 32/24 man. If a few people were going to chip in for a 32 man server, I'd be happy to chuck a few quid a month towards it.
I'll delve into costing a 32 man server this evening and let you all know.
Had a fun session yesterday with @Butters on the Edugeek server. At one point, we had about 20 slots filled. Unfortunately though, it seems the auto balancing was playing up a bit. If there was enough interest, I could see great possibilities though.
Kudos to Butters for putting his time into configuring & maintaining it.

Autobalance is now FIXED
The config is a pretty standard softcore version but as stated in the Platoon - it can all be tweaked.
All we need now is to organise a good session to get everyone on and get it populated!

Was surprised to see the server up again. Unfortunately I got dragged away to another server by my party. :P
May have another crack tonight if SWTOR doesn't interfere with my time. My WoW guild's TS server also goes unused if anyone wants some voice comms...
