Source Map Developers
Do we have any developers here who use Hammer Editor (formerly Worldcraft) for the Source Engine? I've been playing around with the SDK again and trying to get to grips with it. Seems the tutorials and shortcut keys don't match though and the snap-to-grid shortcut periodically falls over. >.<
I already have ideas for a basic fy_ map for CS Source to practice on.

What problems specifically?
As for your grid. First make sure its being displayed with Shift-R. Then double check that hammer says 'Snap On Grid: 64'. Which also reminds me, if you have the grid size too small it wont display correctly. You can change it with the [ and ] keys.

Problems I have hit so far are:
- Saving a file in the default folder saves it as my SteamID instead due to the firstname.lastname@example.org in the path (might try fix this with a Win 7 library for maps)
- CTRL+H is always Hollow in every tutorial I have seen, but it isn't in Hammer Editor.
- The [ and ] shortcuts work randomly. Sometimes it takes 1 key presses to make it register. Shift+E to center the 2D view on an object also falls over times.
Obtained it from the Source SDK under Tools. Does anyone else get these?

Don't use hollow (from mapping with Hammer years back), build hollow objects manually. Hollow can form some horrible messes in brushes.
