I've had it for a week now and haven't actually started 'playing' it yet - I'm spending all my time just exploring the world and hacking stuff to death. Quests, what are they, lol?!

I dont have any floating characters or light glitches. There are bugs, my god there are alot of bugs but they are usually quest related.

I've had it crash a few times but nothing serious. Amazing game still.
Finally found a bit of time to get a copy and have a go at this - I'm an Orc, in heavy armour with a massive 2 handed sword - smashing everyone to pieces at the moment...
I decided to follow the main quest for a bit and ignore the others, but then changed my mind and headed back (legged it all the way to the greybeard guys, but changed my mind at the bottom of the mountain). I'm just finishing up the companions now, it's great so far, had my arse handed to me by a few giants though. I'll make them pay for that when they can't 1 shot me (assuming theres a point in the game where they can't 1 shot me!).
I managed to steal a horse too (Frost), a bit of deception and murder never hurt anyone... The guards aren't bothered anyway! Not bad for level 10 I think!

Yes please I want all of this...

I've been playing this on the PC (purchased thru Steam at the beginning of February), and I may have a fix for PC players if you're getting random blue-screen crashes with this game. Try turning off anti-aliasing in the graphics options. For the first few hours of play I was getting numerous crashes, after swtiching off anti-aliasing I've been able to play up to 38 hours worth of consecutive play and not have it crash on me once.
As you do. Wondering around Rorikstead and two dragons decided to pay a visit. No one told me you can get two at once. Wasn't to bad though. Only bad thing was not being able to get the dragon bones as was carrying too much.
And I would love to simply finish one quest without getting another three on the side.

One simply does not finish a quest without getting side quests...I tend to crack out all the MISC quests before anything else...oh and jack up pick pocketing as high as possible.
Pick pocket as much gold as possible, if you get caught, then pay off the guard, and then pickpocket the money back. Use the skill trainers to crack up other skills, then pick pocket the money after each jump up....I got the skill in light armour up to 75 before I could not afford it any more...so it became a win win situation for me...also only do it with people who are master/expert in their fields![]()
I finished the first dungeon in that Barrow town and it took ages! Good fun though and the game looks amazing, I'm building a heavy armour melee fighter with defensive magic at the moment using the Restoration/Alteration tree. I keep buying stuff from vendors though thinking I am selling it. >.<
Who plays first person and who plays in third? I prefer third as I've always played RPGs in that style and get peripheral vision all around me. My Khajit looks a bit skinny when I take her heavy armour helmet off though compared to the rest of the heavy kit. One friend described her as "a bit anaemic."![]()

Anyone downloaded the HD texture pack, or browsed the Steam Workshop? My PC is under the spec for the HD pack but I downloaded it anyway to try and it still runs smoothly and looks a better! I also subscribed to 20 odd various addons, mainly visual improvements, for the workshop and it really looks stunning now!
Think I'm level 29 now and specialise in archery. It's great as most enemies I can kill in 1/2 shots. Tried some one handed sword action too and barely dented the enemies!
I got ambushed by an elder dragon and a blood dragon just south of Solitude the other night. Summoning some decoys is my plan when fighting more than one, seems to work fine :-)
@CAM - I'am a khajit and I'd agree, mind also looks rather skinny!
I'am now at level 49, completed the main quests and side stories. Just dungeon delving now and getting my skills up in other trees that I have neglected :-D Long range and sneak attacks seem to make this game pretty easy imo.

I have to own up to a big fail. I've found loads of new shout words across Skyrim, but had no idea you could unlock them at any time. I've got to level 30 with just my push and sprint shouts!!! Only when I was looking through the list of them did I accidently see the hint at the bottom left of the screen saying "Press R to unlock" ... I wondered what the point was to killing all these dragons...![]()

Level 37 wood elf, archery, smithing, at 100, sneak, light armour, enchanting all around 85, lock picking and pick pocketing are around 65...all magic, one and two handed are all less than 30.
I can wipe out elder dragons with 1-3 arrows, using my daedric bow of burning which has base damage of 310 :-)
Does anyone play on PS3? I have recently applied the recent update and now it seems to crash every time it is played. I am currently on my way to sort out potema and crouch in some water to do over a draugr and then it crashes. It's done this twice. The day before I turned around.
The game is an absolute PITA to play on the PS3. I must have saved the game around 1500 times. Not because I'm rubbish but because after each and every thing I do, collect, or change I have to in case it crashes. Flippin' nightmare!
I'm really not liking Sony's box O'Cr*p at the moment
