The same comes down to applications - in fact something I saw on the web said WP7 was the most stable phone OS out of iOS, Android and BB. However to get this level of quality you do get the premium price tag....
At the moment the WP7 stuff is actually cheaper than both iOS and Android phones of simmilar spec by a long way thanks to the lower volumes. You get way more phone for your money going WP7 than the others currently, at least here.
I agree totally about the quality that the fixed spec has led to as all the WP7 phones I have used have been smooth and fast.
Unfortunatly it looks like Nokia is going to stuff this up with their wiggle room by adding form factors and also a lower spec cheaper phone. Unfortunatly with lower spec hardware the experience will drop especially if Nokia's software monkeys get their hands on anything too deep in the code base. There was a reason many of their smartphone devices were rated badly in usibility and speed mainly down to their low specs and less than stellar software (I think the n95 4GB was one of the underspeced ones to avoid). Hopefully they don't make the same mistakes again.
