It's not specifically the graphics. It is the animation (very jerky scripted sequences) among other things. Levels dont seem to be well thought out, it plays like a poorer cousin of Serious Sam. Graphics may not be everything, but if you watch the NPC's walk away and you can clearly see the animation loop in their walk, then something isn't right. If you can also see jagged lines around their faces something still isn't right.
Aye, I agree with that. It just seems so unpolished. Walk Duke up to a mirror and jump, it just looks so unnatural. Even if 3D realms hadn't done a great job of the animation that's no excuse for gearbox dropping the ball.

The pic of the kid holding the autograph book is another classic example....you can sign his book by pressing a button and moving the mouse/controller to draw. it serves no purpose, it doesn't immerse you in anything or make you feel like you are actually writing, it was there as a cutscene which you have to do before you can move on.

That and the fact what is the point of a demo if you can't demo it without having to purchase something else to get some random code ??

I lost all faith in PC Gamer magazine when they gave Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising around 90 out of 100.

thats even mentioned in the first part of the game.
you play a scene and kill a boss (from dn3d) and it zooms out to show duke was playing it on a console. two girls get up from kneeling between his legs (yes you can tell where that was going!) and say was the game good duke and he says "it should be, its been 12 years in the making"

It's even made the BBC now.

BBC News - Duke Nukem PR firm dropped following online review row

They should have just forgot let this game die.

Lol all I needed to see what the TV advert for the game. Looks even worse than an Original Xbox title. Seeing the amazing semi photo realistic stuff "real games developers" are doing with things like Battlefield 3 focuses the eye on how totally pathetic DNF appears to look.

Franky I dont care how it plays. I buy next gen games not several generations old games.

I wouldnt waste £40 odd on it and i feel very sorry for anyone who has been drawn into the hype!

Well I have played through most of the single player campaign on DNF for PC now and I have to say it is not a great game. However, IMO it really is not as bad as some have claimed on here. Don't get me wrong, this is not a AAA title by any means, but it is not an awful game, especially if you like DN3D.

I played the demo on XBox Live, really really unimpressed. Felt like an indie title, not a big name 40 quid game!

I'd pay a tenner for it tops.
