Thought he was running things at EduGeek Towers?
Is he a good employee? He seems to go on a lot of junkets...
I'd keep my eye on him!!
Transport Tycoon was brilliant, if you loved it give Open-TTD a spin. The signalling has been much improved and you can play online.
Stepping away from stratergy, you gotta love Lucasarts adventures stuff.
As for my fave old games..
Ghostbusters (ZX 48k, C64)
Horace Goes Skiing (48k)
Space Invaders during 48k Loading sequences!!
The Hobbit (48k)
Spitting Image (C64)
Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega Master System II)
Broken Sword series
Simon The Sorceror
Then I discovered..
Quake - 1,2 & 3
Half Life 1&2
There are more than I can remember...
So many old games that I still love and still have to get out my NES, SNES, Megadrive etc to play :-)
Sonic the Hedgehog
Super Mario Brothers
Super Mario Brothers 3
Colin the cleaner (zx spectrum game, my first foray into the world of gaming)
Michael Jackson's Moonwalk (don't ask)
Donkey Kong Country
the Dizzy series
and probably hundreds more :-)
OpenTTD - Run a small server for friends from time to time (Easiest way to upgrade i have found for Rail-Tram-Mono is to get all your trains to return to depot making sure at least 1 Depot on each line is already upgraded/inacessible, once all trains are in the depot upgrade the entirity of the line then re-build the trains in the upgraded depot and copy the instructions from the now defunct trains (Copy orders - release new train - deleate old train, saves duplicationg orders to trains that can't shift that particular type of goods))
Xcom - Love it got the collectors edition (Enemy unknown, TFTD, Apoc, Interceptor) though i never realy used any weapon other than lazors (Gotta love the no ammo issue) Did anyone ever play/compleate this on the insane difficulty?
Archimedean Dynasty Stole many hours
C&C (Many therof) Stole half my childhood
Carrier Command on the atari XE
Prince Of Persia
If I Had to choose one it would be Open TTD followed VERY Closely by UFO Enemy Unknown/TFTD (Only due to replayability value / Adjustable Variables and multiplayer)
Its gotta be the original FPS of Quake 2 or Doom. Also, loved the capture the flag and paintball mods for Quake :-) ahhhh the good old days of after school Quake Paintball club (to satisfy the parents that we werent playing blood and guts games :-))
FIFA international soccer for the mega drive, great football game for its time. Best part was if you fouled someone you could run away from the ref so he couldnt give you a card.
Speedball 2 was a good sportish game
Okay this thread isn't good for my health, just remembered..
Seek and destroy
And Z which was like the original company of hero's
Total Annihilation which was better then C&C but not as popular, which has a cool reboot http://springrts.com/

How old are we talking? I recently went on a bit of an eBay spending craze (the missus wasn't happy, but that's another story) and bought a NES, a Megadrive, a SNES, a Dreamcast and a few PS1 games (to play on my "old" PS3)...
Most of the games I love have already been mentioned, but I'm going to throw Terminator 2 on the NES in to the mix. Granted, you can complete it in 1 hour flat and it doesn't really vary much, but there's just something about that game for me... I completed it last night in fact
Also, Maniac Mansion (also NES, believe you could get it on Megadrive in the states...) is an amazing game, so in depth for the time too with multiple endings and story changing depending on your choices (even on your choice of players at the start of the game!)
EDIT: I'm bookmarking this post and working through to see what I can pick up on eBay now
