Football Manager 2011
Grrrr. Demo is out today but...
I wonder if there will be a non-steam demo available?
Steam does not support the use of a proxy server. If you require a proxy server for normal internet access, it will need to be disabled or bypassed for Steam to function

Doesn't look like it.........
Which really p****s me off, as I have a really crabby conx at home (1/4meg line), so downloading the demo will take about 8 weeks!
In fact, if my conx was any slower, it would lose a race with a pigeon...oh wait...it already has!!!

How is everyone getting on with the demo so far? I'm loving the 'conversations' you can have with players...
Cannot wait for Friday.

I'm liking the convo's....just don't upset the player!!!!
I don't get much chance to actually play it, now, what with a 6 year old son, and a missus who "doesn't want to be a Football Manager widow" !!!
But it DOES look good....get the crowd and the stadium on....and the game looks nice!
Just getting through pre-season with QPR, and we've been stuffed 3-0 by Olympique Marseille!!!
Hope that once the season starts, proper, we'll be able to go 14 unbeaten....just like real life!!! (However, I'm no Neil Warnock....so that's a slim chance!!!)

Not tried it Sean.... not ventured into the realm of the "spread-sheet-em-up" for years. Could I still be bothered? Why is this game not entirely web based by now? Will the wife forgive me if I get addicted? So many questions...

They've tried to go down the web based route using Steam i think, still rocking the DVD though... Could always give the demo a wizz Thomas with mighty Leeds you get a good 6 months play with it; but if you've not played for years it's changed quite a bit, sometimes like having a 2nd job. Missus irritation wise, generally high, but nothing a kinder egg cant solve.

Defo better than FM10 for the update of the 3D match engine if nothing else, loads of new animations on the players and therefore plays more realistically (for FM, i'm not talking FIFA though!). A few tweaks here and there with agents, conversations with players, new negotiating engine and the like...worth 20 notes if your a fan of the series.
