    Worms Reloaded

It's back! Team17 have released the next Worms game on the PC over Steam. Had some interesting PC games so far (had a fun one with ZeroHour last night) but disable voice comms as it's horribly glitched.

    Anyone else got this game?

Is it any good? I really liked the original Worms.. but as soon as they started making it all 3D and cartooney etc it really sucked..

I would love to get my hands on the original one again. Think the box is in the attic in a house in scotland somewhere

Its enhanced classic worms, I think it rocks. Its £18 odd on steam I think but I love it already.

absolutely LOVE this game so much, had a couple of 4 player games so far, thoroughly enjoyable, steam is the biggest improvement the games ever had purely thanks to game invites

Hopefully it's good - a mate of mine is lead design on worms - built in Yorkshire!

He's concerned that some of the cool new ideas won't work, but generally i think team17 are happy to go more 2d, feels like 3d may have been at the behest of the publishers...

Is there any way to play without the timers? I don't remember the original game having a 30 second limit on moves did it? Ive only downloaded a 'demo' just now, but it seems to run OK on my celeron netbook..

Its always had a timer IIRC. I remember taking ages to sort out a shot, then running out of time and not being able to fire...

Sound glitches on steam for voice comms can be solved by knocking the sample rate for recoding down to cd quality or less. DVD quality sounds like you are under water (vista and above).

Does anyone know if theres a way to get the old version? (legitimately)

@RabbieBurns - I've lodged the timer question with my mate @ T17 - when he gets back to me i'll ask about older versions.
I bet he's have responded quicker if i'd titled the email "Leeds united banter" rather than "worms".
