Hi i have an error on steam it's keep saying about the COMAPTBILITY
and i dont know how to fix it i did alot of things to try to fix it , like
Reinstalled my drivers of my vid card (nvidea geforce 9200)
Updated direct X
even the regedit about the steamexe delete (in both in the system and in the user)
and still it doesnt work the problem is just when i start the game (counter-strike1.6 / call of duty modern warfare or counter strike source )
the only thing i see is a black screen i want to go back to windows and i then the task manager says then the game doesnt work ..
i did the compability in the steam properties and did it on all users about turning it off and still the problem isnt solved.. i saw this forum and readed some things about it and i thought maybe you guys can help me out ,
my os = windows 7 black edition
why win7 black edition because i have alot of lagg on games with windows 7 normal
please help not about other os or something because alot of friends have the same os and have no problems,
It's difficult not to mention the OS, as what you are using is an unsupported, illegal, cracked, pirated, non-official copy of a Microsoft Operating System. To make matters worse (for yourself) you're also dropping your friends in it by admitting that you and they are using Pirated copies of Windows. In short: Windows 7 Black Edition is a pre-release copy of Windows 7 that has had it's expiry date (timebomb) and activation cracked so that they are no longer present, and is so very illegal (at least here in the UK it is but I doubt the laws are much different in NL) and i'm almost certain is against the rules of this forum (although I couldn't find them in time for this post.)
With that out of the way, I suggest that you should remove the aforementioned 'Black Edition', buy yourself a legal, genuine copy of Windows 7 (if you haven't already) and refrain from posting until you sort this out. Even if you are experiencing 'lagging', it's no excuse for running a pirated copy of Windows.
ISP - are they giving you the full speed?
Network card - is it an onboard and is it having issues?
Ethernet cable - could it be broken anywhere?
Router - is it looping back on itself?
Modem - is the modem faulty (if the ISP say that you are getting full speed)
