Connecting Xbox 360 Wireless Joypad to PC
My friend gave me a 360 wireless joypad that he had knocking around at his old work place before they closed. However, he only had the joypad and no cables. How can I connect it to play games on my PC? Presumably I need a dongle, anyone know where I can get one?

you need one of these:
Xbox 360 Crossfire Wireless Gaming Receiver - Xbox 360 Accessories - GAME.co.uk
Or, you can get away with a play and charge kit if you're happy to have a wired connection to the PC.
Not all games will work with it, though. I think quite a few MS Games for Windows have the ability, otherwise you might need this:
Xbcd 360 Install Guide
to get it working with other games.

The play and charge kit will charge from PC, but you do still need the wireless receiver...

It's out of stock everywhere! In fact, it seems to be discontinued. I think a way forward would be to buy a 2nd controller and then use the receiver with that, as 1 receiver supports up to 4 peripherals, I think!

Mine doesn't. Does data and charging. I've got a feeling there's more than one version...
