Hi
Im doing some research into what new format games are out at the moment.
Looking at simple quiz and puzzle games like you would get on sites like mini clips.
Does anyone have some favorties or has seen some games they could recommend.
Thanks

For me personally I like the tower defense type games. There are several variations of them out there.
The best one in my opinion is the Vector Tower Defense
Vector TD - Vector Tower Defence Flash Game by David Scott
And the second version of that same game.
Vector TD 2 Online Flash Game - Candystand.com
This one isn't bad either, except once you have beaten it once it's easy if you know the strategy to use.
Flash Element TD | Novel Concepts
And this one is also good.
Desktop Tower Defense
One one is slightly different in as much as you actually get to control the towers that are defending your base.
Stormwinds 1.5
Other than that those simple games like Yeti Olympics, or ones like this
Cannon Challenge Game : Future Weapons : Discovery Channel
I guess it's safe to say I like the strategy type ones where you have to plan your next moves and such.
An older game I used to play was Motherlode. Motherlode Game - HeavyGames.com
It's kind of a Dig-Dug game where you mine into the planets core getting rare metals to upgrade your digging machine, get explosives and try make it all the way to the center of the planet.
Usually the simpler concepts are the better ones. Don't make the games too hard or offer an accurate difficulty level. And give many many levels to keep the gamer interested and also to give them something to work for. Being able to save the game is a big plus if you go down that route. Or passwords.
I hope this helps some.
