What a great little time waster!

Anyone played it yet? I am really engrossed!

It's great especially if someone doesn't like playing guitar etc they can sing or drum!

Deffinitely one of the best party games out there!

It looks like great fun with a few mates but I'm really put off even contemplating it just because of the price tag! I balked at having to shell out £60-70 for guitar hero so paying what you'd pay for an Xbox360 console for a game just seems crazy IMO!

I was really put off by the price, but in the end I thought what the hell, and so far (got it saturday) it has been great.

Not sure my neighbours enjoyed listening to us "rocking out" until 1am!

I can confirm that the guitar hero guitar works fully with both bass and normal guitar modes in the game. Its a great game.

Ive heard that the drums break easy if you hit them too hard and that guitar hero 4 is coming out soon and they have toughened up their drums.

Guitar Hero 4 also has the ability to import tracks from your xbox HDD

I played Guitar Hero on PS3 the other day. It's great fun, although I could only complete songs on easy. Increasing the difficulty to medium was too fast. I need more practice!

Well yeah, but ive just watched a preview for guitar hero 4 and they have got round that, infact they have put in sensors so that if you hit the pads hard, then a louder sound with be played, plus GH4 have got symbols.

My mate has got Guitar hero on his phone and is getting Guitar hero on tour for the DS. Im sure he is addicted to this series as he has got 1, 2, 3, most of the DLCs for 3 and rock the 80s

The cymbals in GHn tour are a deal maker for me.

as someone who drums, having your 2nd rack tom turn into a cymbal (as it does in rock band) is just too off putting.

Mind you - the guitar is hard enough (as i play guitar as well) when the on screen buttons don't follow fret positions...

Not tried Rock Band yet, but I imagine it's a bit like Guitar Freaks + Drum Mania session (which I have) cross Guitar Hero (which I also have).

So should be immense fun.

They should make arcade machines to be honest, when I was playing Guitar Freaks/Drum Mania with my friends in Italian / London arcades it was a right laugh and attracted crowds to boot O_O

Also just read: It changes drum assignments? Ick! At least Drum Mania doesn't do that. Ride Cymbal stays as ride! I'd be freaked if it turned into a tom or something. (I play drums too!)

I dont really get all these games. Surerly it would be more productive to actually learn the instrument?
On that note the drums one looks alot better than the guitar one as it actually has something to do with the instrument - the guitard is really just a big xbox controller which you mash the buttons on.

even my wife (and this is a breakthrough) like the idea of Rock Band... we may just end up getting it!!!

She not that much of a fan of Guitar hero, but she can see how I get fun out of it!
