So who's getting excited?
Zombie survival by Valve and Turtlerock Studios, with extreme emphasis on cooperation. Any Rambo types will get themselves killed rather soon, so the only way to survive is to act as a team.
Games TM have a feature in their latest edition, and it's looking to be something rather special indeed.

5th March 2008, 11:21 AM #3 I hope this plays better than Dead Rising.
Superb idea for a game (well ok it was just dawn of the dead in game form) but I just wanted a sandbox mode where I could do what i want, not be tied in to 72 hours of game time and have to do missions. I just wanted to explore stores and go mad.
plus no cheats that enable you to just do what you want.
even when you completed the game, infinity mode wasn't you staying in the mall forever. it was you staying in there with rapidly diminishing health til you died.
i want GTA with zombies, but slow moving zombies as Romero has, as it builds up suspense more.
As for Diary of the Dead.....bring it on, yet another to add to the collection!

7th March 2008, 02:43 PM #4 I think L4d Is looking more like a linear FPS, but with the fact the heros and hero-zombies are going to be human controlled, that adds a pretty good twist on it. I think the grunt zombies are the fast ones, but the whole concept of the "director" controlling the AI so it's not like constantly hitting you in the face with a trout sounds pretty good.
