Get some cheaper components? Do you really need a £400 4GHz CPU?

It's neatly, but I'd still suggest one of my Z800's - for £400 I can give you TWO HEX CORE 3.33GHz Xeons!!

That's got to be tempting yes?

Been looking at parts myself of late. If it has to be those components, you could save a tenner on the mobo at Amazon.

...and strangely enough, @ICTDirect_Dave had a similar suggestion!

The price on his Z800s is tempting...

I just like to save the really good stuff for you guys! I've got four of these Hex core Beast CPUs, only special people get offered

Simple answer is 'no, not really', but then I don't think a desktop looks with right without some form of disk drive. Machines with no FDD still look weird to me!

I usually put one in "just in case". + family still prefer to gift physical media.

I found one of these in a case at the back of the "ICT Store" recently:

Rather worryingly, the documentation suggested that the software it contained (History/The Tudors) was on a par with more recent EDU efforts...

Although the problem if you want something for gaming is the z800 has no PCIe 3.0, USB3.0 and at equivalent clock speed you are going be 20-40% slower in single threaded apps. Nice price though

If you buy the parts elsewhere (see link below) the total price comes to £933.85 inc. VAT. That's £49.03 cheaper than Overclockers. Obviously depending upon where you buy things you may need to add a few more £s for delivery.

You won't need an 850 watt PSU for a PC with Intel graphics!
