    PC
Jones in the fast lane (The original life sim that taught me more than any school ever could)
Battle Isle 1,2 - Probably the only game I have ever played so many times over and over again.
Monkey Island 1,2 (the name Guybrush threepwood still makes me laugh to this day)
Kings quest 5 (Got stuck on this game for more than a year, then managed to complete it in a day)
Spacequest - Oh the Janitor in all his EGA glory!
Command and Conquer - (The original and red alert) later 3d versions were really bad
    Speedball 2 - Brutal isn't the word!
Wing commander 2 - (all 16 floppies of it!!)

    ZX Spectrum

    Loads, but most importantly:
    Spyhunter
    Conan The Barbarian
    Ninja Hamster
    Ant Attack
    Gauntlett
And the game with the scariest loading screen ever (for a small child) Vampire Killer

    PC

    (Early years)
    Prince of Persia
    F29 retaliator
    Duke Nukem
    Commander Keen
A comic relief game where you're a dog guiding a sleepwalking kid collecting tomatos...
    Loads more

    (loved adventure games)
    Monkey Island 1-4
Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis (talkie CD version)
    Tie Fighter Collectors Edition
Day of The Tentacle (and Maniac Mansion)
    Sam & Max
    Full Throttle
    The Dig
    Toonstruck
    Broken Sword
    Star Wars Rebel Assault

Then theres the more modern classics

    Chris

I'm shocked and slightly disgusted that no-one's mentioned X-Com: UFO Defense (UFO: Enemy Unknown in europe). It's about 15 years old, and i'm still playing it to this day. It's been re-made and re-hashed so many times since, but nothing can touch the gameplay of the original.

I lost a few summers as a teenager to Sensible World of Soccer (Sensi with management, buy and sell players, awesome awesome game).

I thought I had but perhaps I'm thinking of a different forum. That game is one of my all time favorites, SWOS is also legendary.

Desert Strike? with the little helicopter... loved that.

Transport Tycoon was my first full PC game... and I still play it today (although I upgraded to the deluxe version now... and now OpenTTD.)

Elite bar far one of the best games ever!
frontier elite ----- Good follow up.
    Civilization 1

    Old
    PC:
Blood, Doom, Duke3d(jet pack action), Theme Park.
    Console:
Mario, Mario Kart, Bomerman(snes with multitap).

All these games kept me amused a lot longer than any of the current top titles.

Blood1 RULED...Doom(s), Quake 1, Duke3D, Carmageddon, Space Ba$tards..all are good, and I'm working to try and get them back in a VM.

Well...most work "as is", but the danged build engine is a 'mare. I've got Shadow Warrior running under a win32 port though..
