    There is actually. Look up the Energy Bridge in NEI. If you want a working example there is one in my base in the corner of my IC2/mystcraft room converting from BC MJ to IC2 EU (Although I think I have the IC2 side disconnected as I was running my semi-fluid generator dry of biomass).

    Ah nice, was thinking about making another (high pressure) boiler, rather than use turbines to make EU i could convert power from steam engines. good to know!

    There's actually an issue with that. If you plug a 36HP boiler into an energy bridge then run the power out to an MFR Oil Fabricator, refine it to fuel then heat the boiler with the fuel you make you'll end up energy positive (An oil fabricator takes 600k MJ and converts it into 1 bucket of oil. A refinery converts 1 bucket of oil into 1 bucket of fuel for 30,000 MJ. Finally, a 36HP boiler will (supposedly) get 872,736 MJ per bucket of fuel, giving a net gain of ~250k MJ per boiler).

    that would require me to create some form of liquid fuel to get the boiler up to temp, not sure if i want to you a potential exploit that could be patched out. They already nerfed blaze rod and lava after all! I did hear that the liquid fueled firebox's are more efficient so i might look at getting a refinery running. I currently have a 36LP boiler so i'm guessing the values would just be halved on that?

    Yes it's half. 10 steam/tick/m3 for LP and 20 steam/tick/m3 for HP. a 36HP boiler needs approximately 1,932k heat to reach 100°C (from 20°C), and approximately 22,300k heat to reach 1000°C (from 20°C).

    Ender farm up and running at my base if anyone is wanting enderpearls. feel free.

    Going to have to start void piping blaze rods soon (have 3 full extra dimensional barrels) so if anyone wants blaze rods let me know.

    Matter fabricator should be up and running this weekend.

    T5 blaze spawner chucking them out faster than my boiler can use them, its been running a while..

    Could make more boilers but the one i have running is more than enough for my current needs.

    Its tier 5 so run off redstone anyway with a switch. I could reconfigure my barrels to loop back but the issue at the moment is they are set up like..

    Ender chest (boiler) > barrel > barrel > barrel

    So if i turned it off the ender chest would empty eventually and boiler would cool down, would need to loop them back from barrels to chest but would be easier and less hassle to just void pipe the excess.

    Use a closed applied energetics network with a level emitter. It will toggle a redstone signal based on the number of items in the storage network. Thereby only turning on your spawner(s) when you need to. Also the server will lag less. \o/

    I could use a logicgate to send a redstone signal if the chest is full too I suppose. might just power a second boiler, will need a ton of energy for the matter fab anyway.
