    DayZ Standalone

Just seen an updated post from Rocket on the state of the DayZ Standalone:

Where is the Standalone Release? I suppose I... | DAYZ

Reading though, it sounds likes it's coming on a treat, and the detail they are implementing is epic (Killing a player with a shot to the head in order to steal his night vision goggles could destroy the actual goggles, disease tracking like cholera lingering on clothes a player wears, etc etc). ALso some nice looking screenshots at the top.

I don't care if I have to wait a year, it's sounding awesome. I like the fact that the items are now separated rather than just in item piles.
May have to dust off the mod and get back into it soon enough, maybe even go back to Chernarus rather than Lingor.

That was quite an interesting read. I can see where the confusion stems from, shame Rocket's been getting it in the neck, but I do like the way he's getting stuck in and answering the questions the community are asking.

Yea, he always seems really open and encourages any questions as long as they can be answered quickly by him!

Did just this yesterday, but on Lingor again. Did you know there are now planes available?! Small 2 man bi-planes. Great fun!

    WAT?!

And you didn't think to send me a message on Steam? I are disappoint.
I've just got back into TSW, and just finished the main storyline, so I'm ready to start doing the dungeons. So it could be a while before I pull myself away lol.

+1 for Wasteland rather than Dayz, but if squad mechanics + base building + missions can be modded or added into Dayz SA then that would make me instantly switch games.

My bad, I thought you knew!

Guess who's flying this bad boy!!!

    plane.jpg

And guess who landed it safely...by touching down in the middle of the runway, going into a blind panic as the fence at the end of the runway was less than 100ft away while still going at 60kph and ejecting only to fly 100ft forwards in mid air and die by crashing into the fence.

@MK-2 got to the plane and let me know it was fine and I would have survived if I stayed in it!

    Good session last night @DMcGuigan

How long do you reckon Carbon has spent with his M107 scope on that radio tower?!

Heh, I don't even want to guess how long he's been there.. You know what Carbon's like @Rawns, he'll have been there all night if he needed to.

I have a feeling when we next see him, Mr. French will be in a shallow grave.. or an impact crater from the Post-Death fall :P

I'm guessing the chopper is on auto-hover in front of the tower and he's hopped into the gunner chair!

That really wouldn't surprise me.. I may go hunting for Allcatrax tonight, that snipe last night was a low blow.
