Some good bargains to be had
I knew a thread for this was going to appear, I knew it'd be you that would post it an' all! Gosh
Very good bargains, and this is running all the way to January 5th! FML, I might as well my goodbyes to my wallet/payday coming up. The only thing I ever hate with these sales is I'll buy the game when it's discounted for say 15%. A few days later I'll see the sodding thing again for 50% off.

I feel the need to make people aware of these events. Plus when I'm not looking on steam, I can see the highlights on here when people post what's hot and whats not! Plus it's a time to post quality steam sale related images!

To be fair I'm grateful that you do, I always forget to actually open the client and check the Store page - usually I just open the games direct from the icon. D'oh.
Very true, there are many in the world!

I'm liking the look of Dishonoured, still not sure if I want to pay that much for it though..

For £3.74, Mirrors Edge is well worth a punt.
ARMA2:CO at £14 quid, ideal of anyone whos not experienced DayZ. Plus ARMA2 is a awesome game on its own!

Literally just bought that!always been curious about it but never thought it was worth the RRP, glad I waited. 15 quid for Hitman: Absolution seems very tempting, too.

I'm interested in the Linux games personally! Just wish I wasn't skint until payday!!
Why not 'sell' some of 'those' steam 'games' you never 'play' despite 'always' telling yourself you 'will' play them 'eventuall--.. I can see that murderous look on your face behind that monitor, I shall stop doing 'that thing' to words (nice thread about it, by the way.) - How about sell your body?*
* Don't do that, that's bad.
All I can say is, thank the lord I don't have an overdraft. Means I'm always in the safe-zone, bitchessssss

How's the Steam linux beta going?

In case your not aware, the Steam Linux Beta went public yesterday:
Steam Community :: Group Announcements :: Linux Beta Access
Not sure what the game quanity/quality is like on the platform, but must be a step in the right direction for Linux/Steam fans!

Well, Linux Mint 14 with Cinnamon has some issues with it (those issues being constant crashing... so kinda big issues). If I use Gnome Classic instead, it works fine though. I've got 6 games from prior purchases that are available via Steam on Linux too.
Its also only 32bit though at the moment which is a bit annoying as it means you end up having to have both 64bit and 32bit architecture repos in your apt sources list.

ignore previous post, you obviously are aware! :P

Oh, I know. There's around 39 games and DLC packs for linux at the moment. With more appearing constantly - as there were only about a dozen a couple of weeks ago. There are also some issues with mulit-display systems, namely that while Steam has improved its support, some games will really mess up on a dual screen system - as graphics is handled by the individual game rather than an underlying graphics system. There is some work going on though to move the handling into Window Managers instead, so the games just use a common API instead of whatever individual methods they've come up with.
