I'm (when I get time) playing FF XI - handle: Tarquel - World: Laksumi - RDM main job.

Also, big into D&D style games like Neverwinter Nights / Baldurs Gate / Icewind Dale, along with the usual first person shooters like Call Of Duty, Half Life, TimeSplitters3 and so on.

I'm currently (and have been for the past 16 months) addicted to Eve-Online. You can find me in there as Cowan, in the Firma corporation.

Still like the WW2 shooters though - Medal of Honour, Call of Duty, et al.

Nah, you wouldn't all fit. At least not while there's still six computers in the house! (Three desktops & three laptops...)

A student that helped me out from y9 till he just left this year [at the end of his Y13] has 12 machines at home - including a win2003SB server, Exchange, thin clients, 1 laptop, his PC and the rest working spares.
I, on the other hand have 3 working PC's a borrowed laptop and 2 old PC'sgathering dust.

I on the other hand have my school laptop and a (barely) working, cheap, desktop - and a bunch of spares useful for... well not much really!

Andy.

PS. Was addicted to Eve-online for a while - it was the game I had been waiting for since Frontier! Play Counter-strike, day of defeat and similar at a local LAN.

final fantasy xi. i've been playing since january. it's only about £7 / month and you can get the main game and the 2 expansions off amazon for about £22 total. it's huge. what with updates. it's taking up about 6gb now!

There there are about 11 jobs u can have. you can change between them whenever you like and if you get 1 to level 18 you can have two at once. some of the jobs are advanced ones which you can only get at level 30 and often u need high level help (e.g. lvl75). Anyway the bottom line is that even if you do a job for a bit and decide you'd rather try something else the time spent isnt wasted. you may find you need that job again later. Some jobs go together better than others.

I like the partying mechanics too. Once you get to level 12 or so. experience becomes very slow. the only way round this is to join a party and fight much harder monsters for up to 6 or 7 times the experience.
Joining a party is relatively easy. u just put up a "flag" which makes you appear on a list of people searching for parties. You dont have to beg and you dont have to know loads of people. people pick you, anonymously.
