"Lab" Exchange installation
This one is getting me at the moment, need some fresh eyes ;)
As it stands we have our students (adult learners) on a physically separate network with its own mini Exchange installation. This works fine as the PCs have their own associated Exchange accounts and they just open Outlook as normal.
My original plan was to VLAN and merge the domain into our primary domain (staff) this summer to avoid duplicating servers and just generally be easier to manage. Only problem I have is that I don't want the "lab" accounts running from our "corporate" email server as I don't want classroom users viewing the GAL or sending emails via our primary domain (blacklisting etc)
Was thinking of setting up something like Zimbra for the student accounts but I don't think it can do the same single Exchange-style logon via Outlook (i.e. not having to enter passwords etc when Outlook starts). All student users are on mandatory profiles as well so can't save a profile with the password in.
Unless I've missed something blindingly obvious I could do with Exchange?
