Question on Exchange 2003 Processing of Distribution Lists to External Email Address
I have a scenerio where I have an global distribution list with internal users and external contacts. I'm trying to determine where and what is causing a delay message under the following circumstances:
External user (Bob@abc.com) sends to my internal distribution list (List@MyCompany.com). The list includes him and 5 other external contacts (John@abc.com, Sue@abc.com, etc.) at his domain. Everyone on the list both internal and external are forwarded his message except him and those at his domain. Here is the message details (mailgate is our Tumbleweed email gateway for inbound/outbound Internet delivery):

Original-Recipient: rfc822;List@MyCompany.com

Would this be caused by Exchange "seeing" this as a relay in some way? Not sure why it would not send to all list addresses.
