SCCM User Collections
I'm trying to create some user collections based on AD group membership, and am using the WQL query:
But it doesn't seem to work. Thoughts?
select SMS_R_USERGROUP.ResourceID,SMS_R_USERGROUP.ResourceType,SMS_R_USERGROUP.Name,SMS_R_USERGROUP.UniqueUsergroupName,SMS_R_USERGROUP.WindowsNTDomain from SMS_R_UserGroup where SMS_R_UserGroup.UsergroupName = "Staff"
Ended up using this script - Configmgr 2012 : Automate / Create User Collections from AD user Groups (based on Active Directory group discovery) | System Center Configuration Manager
Which has created groups, but they refuse to populate. What am I missing? I've got User and Group Discoveries set up in AD, which are both working but the user collections won't populate.
And it appears that script doesn't work. It sticks the group inside its own user collection, and that's it. The bit for adding the users doesn't seem to stick.
Oh. I've got the wrong end of the stick. It only needs to contain the group! Works exactly as I need (deploying software to specific groups).
Nice little chat to yourself there :)
Yup. Well, if I want good conversation... :)
