    SQL server 2008r2 trial conversion

    just a quick one...

    If I downloaded and installed the 180 day trial of SQL 2008r2, could I convert it to the full retail version once I have a license key?

    yes you should be able to. How big a DB are you wanting to run? sql express runs up to 10gb dbs now.

    It's our new Sims server. The license has be bought already but I havent got any of the details yet and I want to get cracking.

    yes you should be able to - I know you can from express to full maybe worth going with express then convert to full (install over top)
