    Exchange 2010 - Send email bulk email to addresses in CSV file

    Morning All

    I hope someone can help, our marketing dept. has got a list of around 2000 email address which have been collected (legitimately) over the past few years.

    They have them in a CSV file, and they want to be able to mailshot them all in one go. They have tried by outlook but outlook canít hack that many contacts, and falls over.

    Now I know they could cut them down, and send 100 at a time etc, but with exchange 2010 there must be a way to use PowerShell to drop this email into the mail Q and let exchange process it???

    So my question is does anyone do this already, and what kinda script do you use?? and would you be willing to share?

    Many thanks in advance

    You could import a list of e-mail addresses into an existing distribution group from a text file via PowerShell...

    Code:
    Get-Content X:\Users.txt | ForEach-Object { Add-DistributionGroupMember ĖIdentity DGName -Member $_ }
    Users.txt should contain one e-mail address per line i.e.

    Code:
    me@example.net
    you@example.com
