As simple of a question as any, is it worth upgrading ISA 2006 to TMG 2010?
Any beneficial features i would gain by doing so?
I feel like i want to do it as it's one of only two remaining servers on 2003, but i probably shouldn't if it doesn't give me any benefit.

Seems a good enough reason in my head but as i wasn't the one who originally setup ISA I'm a bit reluctant in case i break it. The microsoft guide for migrating looks relatively straight forwards and simple though so i might give it a go and hope for the best....i guess at the very worst i can just fall back to my ISA install. Just to confirm, even though i gather this from the microsoft blog.... Firewall client for ISA 2006 works with TMG correct?

11th October 2011, 09:08 AM #4 Unless your agreement covers some of the extra features or you use SIP you are unlikely to notice the difference. It does have email/ull/malware filtering but these are by subscription.
If you are running it on 2008r2 then make sure you install SP1 and the post SP1 feature pack otherwise it can be a bit scruffy.
Not sure about the firewall client but I think so, the new one is just an MSI anyhow so is trivial to deploy over the top as an upgrade.

Yes it will work but I personally prefer the TMG Firewall client because it support an AD marker and HTTPS inspection notification.
