SCCM System Center Config Manager New Clients
Hi,
We have recently rebuilt a large number of machines with the a new 64bit image. Originally the clients had our SCCM client installed from our server remotely and now we need to get the client back on to computers. All fine except the computers have the exact naming setup as before and SCCM tells us that a cleint has not been installed.
Is there anyway to automate this process?
Apologies if this is a simple fix but i dont know a lot about SCCM!

If mixed, i'd advise switching to Native (you'll need a CA to get the necessary Certificates) as this resolved majority of naming issues.
Mixed relies on the GUID generated by the clients, and usually ends up in all sorts of probs when rebuilding clients..

Unfortunately, I am now "blind" with SCCM until I can get a decent test rig setup at home

1) Ensure you have the discovery options set and allow it to run straight away this will force SCCM to scan AD for computers
2) In your Push CLient Install settings ensure its set to "always install" or however its worded (install/repair?) Again It'll ensure that the client is reinstalled despite whether its on the client or not or whether or not SCCM has it as isntalled and active...
