Exchange 2010 OWA - Not allowing use of the Enter or Apostrophe key!
This one has got be completely stumped, and there isn't much out there on Google. I'm hoping one of you may have come across this and cured it.
I'm getting multiple reports from users that they are unable to use the Enter or Apostrophe key when writing in the body of a new message / reply window using OWA.
This issue seems to affect users internally and externally, irrespective of hardware type.
My initial thoughts of keyboard mapping and/or different levels of windows updates seem to have been proven as false leads now.
Exchange 2010 is fully patched and running latest SP with latest OS updates on it.
Hope someone can help!

Two of the machines i've tested on are ie9, but one is ie8 on Win XP.
All very odd!

Are the regional settings correct? You can check this on OWA by going options -> settings -> regional.

1. So you can reproduce the issue?
2. Checked different browsers?
3. Disabled add-ins in IE? Tried IE in safe mode?
4. All users effected?
5. Cleaned temp IE files?
6. Created as a test a new windows profile?
7. If you create a new user, same issue internally & externally?

I'd have to agree with sukh here. Only way is to try narrowing it down.
Test an XP machine with IE8, firefox and chrome (for example)
If possible test a vista/7 machine with IE9 and some other browsers.
We've had a similar report that a user can't reply to emails in OWA. she uses chrome yet i've tested on chrome myself and it works, so have asked her to try another browser and then another pc, in the hopes of narrowing down the cause

Just a quick update on this....
The issue has been resolved. It was due to an Adobe add-in within Internet Explorer (all affected machines had Adobe CS3 master collection installed).
The user opened IE which ran the add-in and presented them with a Windows Explorer tree window on the left hand side of IE.
Once a user closed that window/bar within IE the use of Enter and Apost keys was fine.
We've disabled the addin by GPO and created a KB article for external use.
(Not that this should matter going forward for us, as I placed the order for 5.5 last week!)

I do have a temp fix but will have to wait till Monday (for machines that are currently imaged) plus I have a good script to get rid of bonjour on images

Hi glennda. I had one of my team look in to it. I belive it was just one setting to disable that addin.
