4th August 2011, 01:58 PM #1 DPM... Allocate Replica For \ taking an age
I have just set up DPM for the first time and I am creating the Protection Groups, one for each of my Hyper-V hosts. The groups each have 4 Virtual Machines in them to back up.
The first protection group was created with no problems, however the second group is hanging at the 'Allocate Replica For \MyServer' stage on the 4th Virtual Machine.
I am backing up to an iSCSI device in my office.
As the first group was still being replicated as I created the second group, would the hang be because the iSCSI device is busy, or is there another reason that this would be occuring?
All AV is turned off for the time being.
Thanks in advance, Ben
