    ArcServe backup

    Hi all

Just testing our new backup system here and I am coming across a new problem. I am wanting to do two weekly incremental backups (with a full on Friday), and, when a backup is taken it seems to over write the old media?

I am using disk to disk backup
    Thanks
    Richard

I think I'm having the same problem. I've created 3 FSDs: daily, weekly, monthly (all subfolders on a share on a NAS). And three backup jobs to go to each of these folders. Except they don't - the jobs just backup to the folder used by the previous job. They're all going to the same folder.

I think it's because the FSDs are in the same group. I'll create three groups and see how that does.

I just don't understand ARCserve! It makes no sense.

I'm not sure if your problem is related to mine, but putting the FSDs in separate groups worked - the backups go to where they're supposed to.
