Do any PaperCut admins here know a way to disable card association for specific users?

Filter out the generic accounts so they aren't valid in papercut? May require co-operation from the Directory Services team.

Could you possibly elaborate? I can not simply disable the accounts in papercut cause they will still need the ability to print from these accounts for now.

Ah, if the generic accounts need to print, then that won't work.

Can you possibly get the card ID before it is issued and associate it yourself, so eliminating the self-association activity?

No, Thats a global setting. I have 7k+ users, If I was to turn off self association I would have to hire someone specificly to manage user accounts in the system.

For 7000 users it must be worth spending a little bit on some automation to pick up the cards serial number direct from the DB behind the issuing system and inject it into AD, from where papercut could pick it up?

Yeah I have plans to automate card association in the future. We already automate ad creation with batch updates from HR system. I was hoping there was an existing solution within the application. Having said that I am working with the various units to eliminate use of generic IDs ... but thats more of culture change than it is technical.. I appreciate your guidance in this matter.
