    Exchange GALs

    Morning All,

    We have recently followed the MS Tech article to segment the staff and students within our Exchange 2007 server. Staff now see the staff GAL and the students only see the student GAL.

    We have now hit a problem. We are unable to work out how to put the distribution groups on the staff GAL as when I have tried it pulls everything through.

    Can anyone help as this is giving me such a headache, not to mention the millions of calls open on the helpdesk.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Stuart

    What have you tried to do it please? Maybe we can see the mistake.

    Morning.

    I have tried using the following script to pull in the groups but it seems to pull in everything.

    Set-GlobalAddressList "Priestnall Staff" -RecipientFilter {(Alias -ne $null -and (ObjectClass -eq 'user' -or ObjectClass -eq 'contact' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchSystemMailbox' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchDynamicDistributionList' -or ObjectClass -eq 'group' -or ObjectClass -eq 'publicFolder'))}
    Also we have had to run a filter to split staff and students by giving each of the users a company. So staff were added to the company staff and students to students.

    New-GlobalAddressList -Name "Priestnall Staff" -ConditionalCompany "Staff" -IncludedRecipients "AllRecipients"

    Anyone have any ideas - I'm ready to take an Axe to the server!

    Thanks
