[Exchange 2010] New users not showing up in the GAL

We have a single Exchange 2010 server that's been happily running for ages without problems. But recently I've been getting users report that they can't find addresses in the GAL. It seems to be new users created in the last month or so that aren't showing up. If staff type in the addresses, the emails are received fine, and the new staff can send and receive email without issue, but why aren't they in the GAL?

Anyone point me in the right direction, or better still tell me it's a nice easy fix that will only take a few clicks :-)

    Thanks,

Have you rebuilt the address book and made tripley sure the little tick box with 'hide from global dress book' is unticked?

I remember us having an issue like this when we ran 2010. Was something to do with one of the Exchange services not running, can't recall which one though.

EDIT - Exchange System Attendant i think it is.
