Exchange 2013, mail box move stats

    Hi,

I am currently doing a mailbox migration in Exchange. The first batch is 1,400 mailboxes. I can see them moving my alternating between

Get-MoveRequest - MoveStatus Inprogess & Get-MoveRequest - MoveStatus completed. Is there a command i can run to show how many have been done and how many are yet to be done please?

    Thanks

    Get-MoveRequestStatistics: Exchange 2013 Help

That will display status, mailbox size, archive mailbox size, and the percentage complete.

Again that just displays a list like the previous command i am just after something that will display the amount of mailboxes done and the amount queued up.

    Something like

    Completed: 143
    Queued: 147
    Failed: 1

    Thanks

    What does:

    Get-MigrationUser | Group Status

    Give you?

    or

    Get-MoveRequest | Group Status

How about the ECP? Under Recipients -> Migration you've got columns for Total, Synced, Finalised and Failed

Not in there, they are not displayed. I used Powershell to migrate

    Yea takes quite a while!

How long has it been running? Took almost all weekend to get 1927 moved (although it did stop overnight at one point, unsure at what point though) most of those weren't even that big! only about 100 of them that were over 1GB

    3 hours ish

I have just notice, i have forgot to change the VM to give it more RAM and CPU's probably not helping. When this batch has done i will up it.

I dont think Get-MoveRequest | Group Status works properly. By repeatedly running Get-MoveRequest - MoveStatus Inprogess i can see the mailboxes going through the process. Get-MoveRequest | Group Status the count doesn't change from 1000

Not sure what, if any, other commands exist to view it.

I think there's a command you can change for the maximum amount of concurrent mailboxes migrating, default i think is 10 or 5 but you can change this all the way up to 100, might speed things up a bit if you increase that?

EDIT: Can't find anything specific to exchange 2013 at the moment, but this is how to do it in exchange 2010: http://madoxr.blogspot.co.uk/2010/01...ultaneous.html presumably if the same file + settings are available in 2013 that would work.

EDIT2: ah this might be more useful: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...xchg.150).aspx
