    Just finished removing my Exchange 2010 server, officially a 2013 only site now. Only issue i have now is getting backup Exec 2012 (which only supported exchange 2013 two days ago with SP2) to see it properly...won't show me the exchange specific section for some reason.

    Still tweaking here, like not letting students see each others photos etc.

    Work though this:
    PeteNetLive - KB0000789 - Migrating Public Folders from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013

    EDIT: if you hit a problem like i did where, after the AutoSuspended step it gives you "StalledDueToMailboxLock" then I've no idea what the specific fix is to that, but fiddling lots, restarting servers + services and unlocking and relocking the things with those settings eventually freed it up.

    Urgh that looks complex! Wish it was nice and easy like the mailbox migration!

    It's not too bad, best option is to not look ahead and just tick it off step by step When you look ahead i did the same thing as you "urgh"

    It says "size in bytes" but i think you can still use things like 100MB or 1GB etc. so long as you suffix the MB or GB

    If I'm not mistaken you can find your largest current public folder and set the maximum to a bit larger than that, i don't think it resticts it but if it does i think you can change it later by editing the individual public folder that's been affected.

    Note: Purely guessing based on rough information, so i could be wrong.

    Hi @mrbios just wondering, did you have any issues deleting public folders?

    Thanks

    @mrbios did you have any issues removing the public folder database. I tried this but it wont let me mount the database after renaming the folder. Thanks

    When you delete the edb file did you delete just the logs + edb file? As i'm pretty sure you need the rest of the stuff in that folder such as the chk file. I can't remember exactly what i did but those steps pretty much worked for me, albeit the instructions weren't the clearest as I think i had to leave something else behind.

    I renamed the parent folder. In the end i did this

    Navigate to
    CN=Configuration,DC=contoso,DC=com
    CN=Services
    CN=Microsoft Exchange
    CN=Your Org Name
    CN=Administrative Groups
    CN=Exchange Administrative Group.
    CN=Databases
    CN=Public Folder Database 0114374648

    Right Click on this PF Database and Delete it.
