Replace Server that has an SSL Certificate
I have a virtual IIS webserver with an SSL certificate. The Server is Server 2008 R2. I want to replace it with another Virtual Server with Server 2012. Can i just move the SSL certificate over to the new server? Will it work? It will have the same IP, website will have the same DNS name etc.

Yes, as long as the cert private key is exportable or avalible

Indeed, You just need to export the certificate from the current server WITH the Private Key!...

You don't, you use the certificates snapin in mmc pointed to the computer account, it is probably under personal certs.

Launch MMC, Add Certificates Snap In (choose Computer account), Locate required Snap in and then right click export.
