Is Activesync disabled in Active Directory Users and Computers for this user or is the inherited permissions missing for the user as per my other blog (also applicable to Exchange 2003) and already mentioned in this thread earlier:

I think you need to isolate the issue, so try and get EAS working on the LAN before working on External connections.

What does it say in the IIS logs on the Exch server, is it even reaching there, if not, then you need to focus on the ISA, check the logs there.

Do the ExchRCA, the IIS Logs should be on the CAS server. Got to IIS deafult website and check the location of the logs. Should be in the inetpub folder in %systemdrive%

Okay - so the same issue reported, yet the account works!

"The following authentication methods are enabled, but they aren't allowed authentication methods for this service. Methods: Negotiate, NTLM"

Have you checked my article I linked earlier?

You know what I mean :-)

Just in case the JackB70 doesn't - the Exch 2003 server where EAS is held.

Incorrect settings in IIS can cause exactly that - I have seen it dozens of times.

Please work your way through my blog from the top and check everything, especially that you have Exchange 2003 SP2 installed.
