Ok will do - I'll do that and then try exporting the test mailbox.

Will post up the results tomorrow hopefully.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I've created a new test account in a new test OU and new email address in that new AD object. Sent a few emails back and forth (internal and external).

Added the admin permission fine with the cmdlet but same error message happens with exporting the mailbox and when I ran the -verbose command at the end as well - it brings up the same error message at the same point on the existing mailboxes I tried to export.

    Any other ideas?

The admin account you're giving full mbx permission to, can you double check there isn't a inherited deny somehwere?

I've checked this and it isn't inherited any deny permissions. I've created a test admin account and made the account a member of domain admins and also tried this - same error message.

    Thanks.

DO NOT make the account a member of domain admin, make sure it has only Domain Users and is a memeber of Exch Server admins and local Admin where you are running the command from.

If the account is still live, logon as the user and then take an archive of their E-mail. Set the archive date so it's tomorrows and then you will have their Mail.
Or just create a local .PST file and drag the E-mails into that. Or give yourself full permissions to their mail box and add them as another mailbox to your account.

    Hi guys,

I've managed to sort this out - apparently it was a update on Outlook 2010 that was causing the issue (kb2687623). Few other people were having the same problem - see following link: -

Exchange Mailbox import failed with error code - -2147221233

Uninstalled the update, restarted the machine and now all mailboxes are updating now.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions - much appreciated :-)

I ran fixmapi and worked like a charm for me.
The machine I'm doing the export from is a Windows 2003 R2 32 Bit with Microsoft Exchange Console 32 Bit with all of the updates.
    Exchange server is Exchange 2007 SP3 on Windows 2003 R2 64Bit.
