(I'm sure there was an edugeek "stuff" forum once, maybe I imagined it)
Just noticed Edutech's badge has changed - probably a while ago, that's how awake I've been lately... but: news, announcement, falsehood...?

Looks like he is still a mod from his Groups list, but is displaying his Supporter badge instead.
The group you were seeing is not an actual permissions group as such and just a social group (which I didnt actually know about...) but I have removed him from that too.
He is no longer a mod as he works for a IT company now which supplies education so we saw a conflict of interest there. He is still involved with EduGeek, he just couldnt really be a mod as such any more.
Yeah, Just thought i would add to what Shaun has said.. I no longer work in the education sector which has meant that i have had to unfortunatley stand down from the role of Moderator on the forums. It's a shame and something that i really did not want to have to do but as shaun stated due to it being a conflict in interests it was the best way forward. I will still be doing things in the background as and when things come up but not the moderation side of things.
I enjoyed being a moderator (although it was only for about a year), and thanks for everyone for the support especially the other admins and mods. :)
Now who's up for an Ex-Mod Badges so i can get a blue stripe :( i wanted that colour too!! lol!
Cheers Guys,
James.
Domino is a mod but he doesn't work in education
The company he works for is not a potential supplier to schools. If a possible supplier is a Mod then there is the risk of accusations that they are not impartial when dealing with spam or other suppliers.
