You could set an Advanced Search for them:
Search Single Content Type - leave top boxes clear and set Find Posts as Yesterday and Newer, Sort by last post date
Save the search and you've got your very own Today's Posts

@theeldergeek : I'm also using the 'getdaily' option too. Got it bookmarked now and suggest you do the same.

... but New Posts only displays post that has arrived since your last log in, unlike the previous Today's Posts that displayed posts that arrived in the last 24 hours or so.

Oh I understand that. I was just pointing out to the OP that The Today's Posts link is still available, just not when you are logged in.

Sorry just thought I'd clarify a bit, but have muddied the waters even more

Just add this to your Favorites.

Interesting to see that if you mark all forums as read, got to new posts then it will say there is nothing new but gives you the link for posts in the last 24 hours.
@theeldergeek - the link was in John's post but since hyperlinks are now only blue and bot blue and underlined you can sometimes miss them ... I do that on other sites which have links in the same way.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, but I'd still like to see a "Today's Posts" re-appear in the 'old' way. It was just 'easier'.

I have added "Todays Posts" as the first link under Whats New. That should help hopefully.
